CAA19 Congress Program

The CAA19 Congress is a unique event for leaders in the pre-hospital sector to participate in a program designed to set the agenda for the evolving role of paramedicine.

The conference program promises inspired and engaging presentations from local and international speakers on this year’s theme: Building Ambulance Services for 2050. The two-day CAA19 Conference at Crown Perth includes a full program of plenary and concurrent sessions, and social events including a Welcome Reception at Government House and a Gala Dinner to celebrate the 2019 Awards for Excellence.

The conference, including the Welcome Reception and Awards for Excellence gala dinner, combined with the 3 pre-conference workshops is an invaluable opportunity to engage with your peers from around the world in professional and social settings.

We are also pleased to advise that the Resuscitation Council of Asia will be hosting a workshop in the lead up to the CAA19 Congress.

CAA member services have had an impressive uptake of the GRA’s ten step program to increase the survival from Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OPHCA).

The Masterclass will provide an important forum to learn about and discuss the all initiatives undertaken across Australia and New Zealand.

In addition two noted international guests will be featured on the program: Dr. Ng Yih Yng, Lead, Digital and Smart Health Office, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Central Health Singapore Home Team, Chief Medical Officer, Ministry of Home Affairs; and Freddy Lippert CEO, Ass. Prof. MD. Emergency Medical Services, Copenhagen University of Copenhagen, Denmark

The inaugural Infection Control Masterclass highlights the significance of infection control on the world stage.

Local and international speakers will address issues integral to controlling the spread of disease now and in the future - from hand washing and vaccination to research and international campaigns.

A panel discussion will tackle why it is everyone’s business to “keep the office clean”.

The Welcome Reception will be held on Tuesday 13th August at Government House.

Getting There: Buses will depart from the Crown Towers Coach Bay at 5.00pm and return to Crown at the conclusion

of the function.
Dress: Business Attire
Catering: Canapés and beverages will be provided. 

If you are catching the bus from Crown Conference Centre please collect your name badge from the registration desk located on Level 1 outside the Crown Ballroom from 3.00pm – 4.30pm on Tuesday prior to the buses departing for the Welcome Reception. Our team are happy to direct you to the coach location.

Getting There: Buses will depart from the Crown Towers Coach Bay at 6.30pm (highlighted in yellow at the top of this location map) and return to Crown at the conclusion of the function
